About The Albert Arms

A Brakspear-owned Victorian corner pub with separate Albert and Victoria bars, a small courtyard and a kitchen.

On the corner of Gladstone Street and Garden Row, a short walk from Elephant & Castle, the Albert Arms dates from the 1850s. It still has two separate rooms, the Albert and the Victoria, with inter-war windows, reeded wooden panelling and original bar-backs. There is a small courtyard garden and an upstairs dining room, and dogs are welcome. It is owned by Brakspear and is listed as an Asset of Community Value.

On tap

Two changing cask ales, one of them usually from Brakspear, and a wine list that has drawn praise.

Food

A kitchen and an upstairs dining room serve pub food.
