About Green Man Hotel
An independent pub and small hotel on Dagmar Avenue in Wembley, tracing a continuous pub history on the site back to 1722, rebuilt after a fire destroyed its predecessor in 1906.
A public house has stood on this Dagmar Avenue site since 1722, when it was known as the Barley Mow before later taking the Green Man name; the current building dates from a rebuild after fire destroyed its predecessor in 1906. It keeps a wood-panelled interior true to its age, with a brick conservatory leading out to a garden that offers commanding views over the surrounding area, and functions today as both a pub and a small hotel with ten en-suite rooms, popular with coach parties and visitors to Wembley Stadium. Live music and quiz nights are regular fixtures, though the pub's rhythm bends to whatever is happening up the road at the stadium on any given weekend.
