About Lamb Tavern

Trading since 1780 under the ironwork of Horace Jones's Leadenhall Market, still the after-work meeting point for the City.

The Lamb Tavern has poured pints on this spot since 1780, though the building itself dates to 1881, the same year the ornate Leadenhall Market around it was rebuilt. On weekday evenings the crowd spills out under the market's glass-and-iron roof for what regulars call 'vertical drinking' — City workers standing pint in hand rather than seated.

On tap

Young's cask ales and a straightforward lager and wine list.

Food

Pub classics — pies, fish and chips, sandwiches at lunch.
