About The Perseverance
A Grade II listed corner pub at the bottom of Lamb’s Conduit Street, with three changing cask ales and pizzas made in-house.
The Perseverance occupies a curved stucco corner where Lamb’s Conduit Street meets Great Ormond Street, in a building from the early eighteenth century that was refronted in the early nineteenth and is Grade II listed. It was the Sun until the 1990s, passed through several other names, and has been the Perseverance since the mid-2000s. Since 2016 it has been run by Market Taverns, the family-run group that also owns Borough’s Market Porter, and it was a finalist in North London CAMRA’s Pub of the Year for 2025. A cast-iron column survives inside, there is a room upstairs for private hire, and dogs are welcome.
On tap
Three changing cask ales, typically from breweries such as Portobello, Sambrook’s and Southwark, with a Cask Marque rating; cider in summer.
Food
Pizzas made on site alongside pub classics.
