About The Punch Tavern

Named in the 1840s after Punch magazine's staff, who drank here; the ornate Victorian interior still looks the part.

The Punch Tavern takes its name from the satirical magazine Punch, whose journalists and cartoonists drank here from the 1840s. It's one of Fleet Street's most striking surviving gin palaces, with etched glass and gilded fittings, and now stocks more than ninety gins alongside a hidden upstairs cocktail bar.

On tap

Over ninety gins, plus cocktails and the usual beer taps.

Food

Pub food and sharing plates, best had at the downstairs bar.
