About Whippet Inn
A craft beer pub on Chamberlayne Road in Kensal Rise, the founding venue of Urban Pubs & Bars, built around an island servery and a small-plates food menu.
The Whippet Inn opened as the first pub from Urban Pubs & Bars, a company founded by former Realpubs operators, on a Chamberlayne Road site that had cycled through several identities since the late 1990s, including Chambers, the Greyhound and a diner, before closing altogether. The reopened pub reworked the space around a central island servery splitting two halves of the room, and built its reputation on contemporary craft keg and bottled beer rather than traditional cask ale, with names like Anchor Steam, Sierra Nevada and Goose Island on rotation. A small-plates food menu, front and rear gardens, and a popular Sunday quiz have made it a fixture of Chamberlayne Road's Kensal Rise stretch.
