About The Artillery Arms

A mid-19th-century pub that owes its name to the neighbouring Honourable Artillery Company, right opposite the historic Bunhill Fields cemetery.

It dates from the 1850s — originally called The Blue Anchor — and owes its current name to the neighbouring Honourable Artillery Company, whose coat of arms sits on the pub sign. Today it's a single-room pub with classic character, standing opposite Bunhill Fields, the dissenters' burial ground where Daniel Defoe, John Bunyan and William Blake are buried.
