About The Blue Posts
Georgian on the outside, thoroughly modern within, the Blue Posts layers a ground-floor pub over a cocktail bar and a hidden basement restaurant.
One of several Soho pubs to carry the Blue Posts name — a reference to the sedan-chair stops once marked by blue-painted posts — this one on Rupert Street dates to 1739. A 2017 renovation kept the pub's Georgian bones intact while adding a first-floor cocktail bar and a subterranean dining room, so today's regulars can order a pint downstairs or head up for something more considered.
On tap
British craft beers and ciders on the ground floor, with a proper cocktail list one flight up.
Food
A concise modern British menu, more ambitious than the average Soho boozer thanks to its basement kitchen.
