About The Crown Tavern
A historic pub on Clerkenwell Green, a few steps from where Lenin edited the newspaper Iskra; local tradition places his first meeting with Stalin here.
Set on Clerkenwell Green, very close to the building where Lenin edited the revolutionary newspaper Iskra in the early 20th century, local tradition holds that this pub is where Lenin and Stalin first met, during a Russian Social Democratic congress held in London in 1903. Today it's a lively neighbourhood pub, with a crowd that spills onto the green in summer.
On tap
Cask ales, beers and a cocktail list.
Food
British pub food with a menu that changes by season.
