About The Freemasons Arms
A spacious pub-restaurant on a tree-lined Hampstead street, with one of the area's biggest gardens and London's only full-size skittles alley.
Set beside Hampstead Heath on one of the neighbourhood's most elegant Georgian streets, the Freemasons Arms combines a large glazed hall, a tree-shaded garden much in demand in summer, and a basement with the only full-size skittles (traditional English bowling) alley left in the city. It's part of the Premium Country Dining Group within the Mitchells & Butlers hotel and restaurant group, which explains its more dining-led approach than a traditional bar-room pub. Even so it keeps cask ales with a five-star Cask Marque rating. Its location, a few steps from the duck pond at South End Green, makes it a regular stop after a walk on the Heath.
On tap
Rotating casks such as Timothy Taylor Landlord and Harvey's Sussex Best, plus a broad wine and cocktail list.
Food
A gastropub menu of pizzas, pastas, salads and seasonal mains, ideal for groups.
