About The Good Mixer
A small pub by the old Inverness Street market, famous as a meeting point for the British music scene of the nineties.
In the nineties the Good Mixer was the go-to bar for bands like Blur and Elastica, and for a very young Amy Winehouse, who lived nearby. The pub closed its doors in 2018 but reopened shortly after under new management, keeping its unfussy neighbourhood-pub feel, pool table included. It still books live music and keeps photos and mementoes of that golden era on its walls. It's a required stop for anyone after a slice of Camden's less touristy musical history.
On tap
Reasonably priced draught and bottled beers, in the casual atmosphere of a proper old bar.
Food
A light pub food offer, secondary to the atmosphere and the music.
