About The Hawley Arms
A landmark pub by Camden Market, rebuilt after a fire in 2008 and now run by its own team, with no ties to any chain.
Through the 2000s the Hawley Arms became a meeting point for musicians and Camden's alternative scene, a reputation it keeps up in its laid-back atmosphere and its upstairs gig room. A fire in the back alley forced it to close for several months in 2008, but it reopened with the backing of its regulars. In 2019 its current owners bought the pub to make sure it stayed an independent business. It's a stone's throw from Camden Lock, with outdoor tables that are perfect for watching the market go by.
On tap
A good range of draught and bottled beers, plus a menu of gins and simple cocktails.
Food
A pub menu built around sharing plates, ideal before heading down to catch a gig nearby.
