About Kilburn Arms
A Victorian pub built in 1899 as the Prince of Wales, rebranded the Kilburn Arms after a £750,000 refurbishment that added a fish and chip shop and hotel rooms while preserving its rare etched-glass windows.
Built in 1899 as the Prince of Wales, this Willesden Lane pub carries some of the finest surviving Edwardian glasswork in the area: rare curved, etched and cut-glass windows in floral and fruit patterns, and elaborate bar-back fittings decorated to match. An interwar extension added Art Deco plasterwork featuring a bust of the Prince of Wales, and the original dado and fielded panelling survive throughout, albeit painted over in turquoise in places. A £750,000 refurbishment by operator Beronmoor rebranded it the Kilburn Arms, adding an artisan fish and chip shop and twelve en-suite hotel rooms, while CAMRA still recognises the surviving interior as a heritage pub of regional importance.
