About The Mad Bishop and Bear
A genuine, award-winning Fuller's pub perched above the concourse at Paddington Station, proving station pubs can do real ale justice.
Named after the Bishop's Bridge that once crossed the nearby canal, the Mad Bishop and Bear sits on a mezzanine above Paddington Station's main concourse, in full view of departing trains. Despite its captive commuter audience, it has built a serious reputation among real ale drinkers, having been named West London CAMRA Pub of the Year, and typically keeps a wide range of cask ales on its pumps — a rare thing to find done properly inside a mainline station.
On tap
A genuinely strong cask ale range, unusual for a station pub.
Food
Solid pub food, built for travellers with a train to catch but time for one proper pint.
