About Railway
A former Railway Hotel by Streatham Common station, run by independent operator Parched Pubs as an unpretentious, beer-first real-ale house.
The Railway occupies the former Railway Hotel building by Streatham Common station, and under independent operator Parched Pubs has built a serious reputation as a real-ale destination in a part of Streatham High Road otherwise dominated by chains. It has been a regular Good Beer Guide entry and took CAMRA's South West London Branch Pub of the Year award in both 2019 and 2021, all achieved with a deliberately unpretentious, no-frills approach that puts the beer first and leaves the styling to look after itself. It draws real-ale enthusiasts from well beyond Streatham as much as it does the immediate neighbourhood.
