About The Red Lion
A Grade II-listed pub, with a pub on this site for over five centuries, wired directly to Parliament's Division Bell and a genuine political institution.
A licensed house has stood on this Parliament Street corner for more than 500 years, making the Red Lion one of Westminster's oldest continuous drinking spots. Like its near neighbour St Stephen's Tavern, it carries its own Division Bell connecting it to the parliamentary voting system, a fixture that has made it a favourite with MPs, journalists and civil servants for generations of late-night votes and political gossip. The building is Grade II listed, and today operates as a Fuller's house.
On tap
Fuller's cask ales, kept in proper condition for a discerning Westminster clientele.
Food
Solid pub food built to fuel long parliamentary evenings.
