About The Castle
A sparse, open-plan local at the Golborne end of Portobello Road, directly opposite the blue door made famous by Notting Hill the film.
Set on the quieter, northern stretch of Portobello Road where the antiques stalls give way to Golborne Road's Moroccan and Portuguese cafes, The Castle is very much a proper local: an open-plan, unfussy room with a bohemian, merry atmosphere rather than any pretension. It looks out directly onto the famous blue front door from the film Notting Hill, making it an inadvertent pilgrimage stop, though most of its custom comes from Portobello traders and neighbourhood regulars.
On tap
A relaxed pub selection of beers, wines and creative cocktails.
Food
Flavourful, unfussy pub cooking for casual lunches and evening dinners.
