About The Trafalgar
A Grade II-listed former bank building turned pub in 2025, the first genuinely new pub to open on the King's Road in over a hundred years.
Housed in a 1909 Grade II-listed banking hall designed by Reginald Blomfield (the architect behind Chequers, the Prime Minister's country residence), The Trafalgar opened in late 2025 as the first entirely new pub on the King's Road in more than a century. A £2.4 million fit-out preserved the building's five-metre bronze ceilings and grand proportions while adding a dark oak bar and a basement events space, the Havannah Room, for live music and comedy. It's an unashamedly grand addition to Chelsea's pub scene, built by three childhood friends trading as Three Cheers Pub Co.
