About The Westbury

A large corner pub on Westbury Avenue, near Turnpike Lane, taken over and extensively renovated by the small family-run operator London Village Inns, which reopened it in 2015.

London Village Inns took over the site in 2014 and reopened it in 2015 after an extensive renovation, turning what had been a fairly ordinary corner pub into a bright, big-windowed pub and kitchen with heated outdoor seating. London Village Inns is a small, family-run pub company with a handful of sites across North London, plus a restaurant and two guesthouses — the kind of scale that lets each pub keep its own local character rather than a stamped-on house style. The Westbury markets itself simply as a quality local pub, with cask ales and a beer garden as its main draws, and it replaced the nearby Green Gate as the area's go-to Good Beer Guide-listed pub after that venue closed permanently in February 2023.
