About The Wenlock Arms
Trading since 1787 as a brewery tap, saved from closure by a CAMRA and community campaign in 2013, and named North London CAMRA Pub of the Year four times over.
The Wenlock Arms began trading in 1787 as the tap room for the old Wenlock Brewery, with the current building going up in 1835 and surviving the Blitz. It closed in the early 2010s before a vigorous CAMRA and community campaign rescued it, reopening in June 2013 with flats added above. It has since been named North London CAMRA Pub of the Year four times, and its unspoilt interior is on CAMRA’s National Inventory of pubs of special historic interest. It also appears in Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg’s The World’s End, and David Beckham is said to have been a regular here with his grandfather.
On tap
