About The Coach Makers Arms
A pub on its Marylebone Lane site since at least 1794, reopened by Cubitt House in 2017 with a ground-floor bar, a chop-house restaurant upstairs and a basement cocktail bar.
Open by 1794 and known over the years as the Conduit of Tybourne, the O'Conor Don and the Coachmakers' Arms, this Marylebone Lane pub was taken over by the Cubitt House group, who reopened it in December 2017 as their fifth London pub. They kept as much of the original architecture as they could and gave each floor its own character: a busy ground-floor bar with an all-day menu, a light first-floor restaurant in the manner of a chop house, and in the basement The Clubhouse, a low-lit cocktail bar used for music, dancing and private parties. It was a finalist for Newcomer of the Year in the 2019 Top 50 Gastropubs awards and for Best New Pub or Bar at that year's Publican Awards.
On tap
Cask ales on the ground floor, with Allsopp's Best Bitter and London Brewing's London Lush among the regulars, plus lagers, craft beers, wines and cocktails.
Food
An all-day bar menu downstairs and British classics in the first-floor restaurant.
