About Fishermans Arms
A pub built in 1928 amid terraced workers' housing near Willesden Junction, now catering to a local Portuguese clientele with football on the screens.
The Fishermans Arms was built in 1928 in an area of terraced housing thrown up for railway and factory workers around Willesden Junction, and its plain, functional brick exterior still reflects that origin. Its trade has since shifted with the neighbourhood: it now caters chiefly to a local Portuguese clientele, with Portuguese football matches shown alongside the usual Premier League fare, and the pub leans hard into games rather than food or real ale, with pool, darts and table tennis under a covered outdoor area for smokers. It has no cask ale on the bar, putting it outside CAMRA's usual focus, but it remains a genuinely well-used community local rather than a pub trading on nostalgia.
