About The Guinea Grill
A mews pub with roots back to 1423, fronting one of London's most garlanded steak restaurants and famous for the pies that made its name.
Behind its unassuming Bruton Place frontage, the Guinea has operated as an inn in some form since 1423, making it one of the oldest licensed sites in Mayfair. Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner were regulars in its mid-century heyday, and the attached Guinea Grill has quietly built a reputation as one of London's best steakhouses. The pub itself keeps things traditional — a proper bar, a meat counter, and award-winning homemade pies sold here since the 1940s.
On tap
Young's cask ales on tap, plus a serious wine list feeding the grill next door.
Food
Famous homemade pies and a full steakhouse menu through the attached Guinea Grill.
