About The Cavendish
Dating to 1779 and once the headquarters of a Masonic lodge, this Marylebone building now serves elevated European small plates under an Italian chef.
Few Marylebone pubs can claim quite this pedigree: the building at 35 New Cavendish Street dates to 1779 and spent part of its history as the meeting house of a Masonic lodge before its conversion to a pub. Its current incarnation, under chef Laura de Filippis, leans towards elevated European small plates and seasonal cocktails rather than traditional pub grub, making it as much a neighbourhood restaurant as a place for a pint — though the bones of the historic building remain firmly on show.
On tap
Seasonal cocktails and a European-leaning wine list alongside a modest beer selection.
Food
Elevated European small plates from an Italian-trained kitchen.
