Behind a handsome 18th-century facade on Great Portland Street, The George reopened in 2022 as an all-day pub and dining room, sibling to similarly minded pubs in Chelsea and Chiswick. Its Grade II-listed shell has been treated gently — exposed brick, reclaimed timber, big windows onto the street — while the kitchen leans towards seasonal, produce-led British cooking rather than pub-standard fare.
