About The Yorkshire Grey
One of Fitzrovia's oldest licensed addresses, a small, unfussy corner pub that has quietly outlasted most of its 18th-century neighbours.
Licensed since 1777, the Yorkshire Grey is a rare survivor of Fitzrovia's Georgian building boom, when the area was first laid out on land belonging to the Berners and Portland estates. It has none of the self-conscious history-mongering of some older pubs — just a small, warm, wood-panelled room, a loyal local crowd from the surrounding offices and mansion flats, and a straightforward cask ale offer.
On tap
A tight, well-kept cask ale range alongside standard lagers and wines.
Food
Simple bar snacks and lunchtime pub food, nothing more elaborate.
