Opened in January 2018 as London’s first fully vegan pub — everything from the beer to the fixtures is animal-free, in a midnight-blue-and-copper room on Homerton High Street.
Opened in January 2018 in the former Jackdaw & Star, the Spread Eagle set out to be London’s first entirely vegan pub, and holds to that standard down to the finings used to clarify its beer and the materials in its fixtures. The seasonal vegan kitchen runs in partnership with Club Mexicana, set inside a deliberately handsome midnight-blue-and-copper interior rather than anything austere.
