About The Wrestlers
A 1920s rebuild on a site said to have held an inn since 1547, with a one-star CAMRA heritage interior, a front terrace and a heated back garden.
There was an inn on this site by the mid-eighteenth century, and The Wrestlers claims a history stretching back to 1547; the present building dates from the early 1920s. CAMRA gives its interior a one-star heritage rating, noting the L-shaped bar, the wood panelling and the leaded glass with heraldic symbols. It is one of the Highgate pubs that hold the old "Swearing on the Horns" ceremony, which takes place twice a year. There is a front terrace and a heated rear garden, a real fire, and dogs are welcome.
On tap
Fuller's London Pride, St Austell Tribute and Timothy Taylor Boltmaker on cask.
