About The Wooden Cross
A recently refreshed pub on Crouch Hill with an old-fashioned, wood-panelled interior, run since April 2025 by Twenty6, a small North London pub-and-events operator.
The Wooden Cross occupies a traditional corner-pub shell on Crouch Hill, and its current operator, Twenty6, took over the site in April 2025 as part of a small North London portfolio the company also uses to run events. The interior keeps a deliberately old-fashioned, wood-heavy look, paired with weekly live music that ranges from jazz to blues at a volume pitched to still allow conversation. It has built a reputation locally for one of the better-kept pints of Guinness in the area, alongside a limited food offer, and it welcomes dogs into both the bar and the garden.
On tap
Guinness is the standout pour, alongside standard lagers, ales and cocktails
