About Antwerp Arms
A Georgian pub on Church Road saved from redevelopment by a local community campaign in 2013, and now owned outright by residents through a Community Benefit Society.
The Antwerp Arms was threatened with demolition and conversion in 2013, prompting a local campaign — backed by CAMRA — to save it, which culminated in a community share offer that let a registered Community Benefit Society buy the freehold outright in 2015. It's since been run as a genuinely community-owned pub, described by CAMRA as a case study in the model, with permanent taps for Tottenham's own Redemption Brewery and LocAle membership guaranteeing a locally sourced beer selection. The in-house kitchen was founded in 2021 by a self-taught local chef and focuses on home-style cooking while offering hospitality training and jobs to young people locally. Sitting close to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it does heavy trade on match days, with Sunday roasts in particularly high demand, while retaining the feel of a genuine community local the rest of the week.
